Nuri Kye
Project Consultant
Nuri Kye brings nearly two decades of experience in nonprofit and arts administration to RSC, infusing organizations with robust data-driven practices and a community-centric approach for sustainable growth.
Along with her RSC work, Nuri currently serves as the Director of Development at the Marin Symphony Association in Northern California and has overseen an impressive growth of MSA's reserves from $750,000 to $8 million. In her role, she manages day-to-day fundraising activities which grew the Annual Fund nearly 25% from 2017-2020, maintaining healthy year-over-year growth ever since.
Nuri’s professional journey commenced in Public Relations at Cal Performances at the University of California, Berkeley, where she played a pivotal role in the publicity campaign during the performing arts center's first Executive Director transition in thirty years. Following this, Nuri took charge of managing the annual telefundraising campaign at San Francisco Opera during a period of expansion marked by the successful production of a Wagner Ring cycle and an augmentation of free-for-all community engagement offerings.
Nuri learned the art of using data to support fundraising best practices during her tenure as a development and database consultant at HT Lehmann Consulting. Notable clients during this period include: Red Cross of the San Francisco Bay Area, Oakland Children's Hospital Foundation (now UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital), Stern Grove Festival, and San Francisco Art Institute.
Prior to launching her career in arts administration, Nuri's early years were marked by her musical prowess as a violinist, performing in various regional youth and adult symphony orchestras and musical productions in and around Idaho Falls, Idaho. Transitioning from the stage to an arts administrator and avid audience member, she is deeply passionate about fortifying communities and empowering nonprofits through the transformative power of the arts.
